Dear Friends and Family;

2016 was a year of milestones for Susan and Rich. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in February; downsized to a smaller apartment [still in Boston’s North End] ahead of Rich’s proposed retirement date of ‘sometime in 2018;’ and spent two memorable weeks in Ireland seeing the sites by day and listening to music in the pubs by night.

Andrea and Bobby still divide their time between their house near Hudson, NY and NYC. Andrea has a new performance piece, "My Dinner with Andrea: The Piece Formerly Known as the Torture Playlist", premiering in February in NYC. She is still giving readings for her book Calf; A Novel, published by Soft Skull Press in 2015. Bobby played his Terminals 4 piece at Carnegie Hall this December, released a new album Mass on Rare Noise Records and completed a new work Rhapsody. Hilary and Josh have a new house on Richmond’s South Side. Hilary continues as Senior Communications & Data Coordinator at Donate Life America. She is currently in Pasadena CA handling logistics for Donate Life America’s Rose Bowl Parade float. Josh is building a very successful escape room empire. In addition to Escape Room RVA, he now has Escape Room Herndon in Northern Virginia and will open a second Richmond location in early 2017. The latter will have participants finding their way out of a staged play and feature a bar. Nina, now 8, and Ben, now 6, are thrilled with their new labradoodle puppy, Gemma, who joined the household Christmas week. The both now attend Richmond Montessori School.

Jared and Seema are back in Media PA this year but plan to return to NYC this summer. Seema is completing her Master’s Thesis for the Columbia Writing Program; Jared was admitted to the NY State Bar. Vishnu, now 6, attends kindergarten and has become a budding artist. Sid is 3 and a half and loves the ocean and all its creatures, especially sharks.

Rich is now became Senior Product Manager/ Orchard Portfolio at Bluestem Brands Inc. this year. The big change is that he now manages products instead of people. He continues as an active contributor to the production of new independent singer/songwriters new albums, and keeps our concert calendar full. We have travelled around MA and NH hearing performances in small town community centers, out of the way resorts and restored barns. Rich still supports the website for singer/songwriter Marina V [www.marinav.com]. He and Susan will travel to Scotland in the summer of 2017 for another “sites by day/ music by night tour.”

Susan had a busy year between her consulting project for the French Legation Museum in Austin Texas, her work as volunteer Director and Board President at the West End Museum and her growing interest in songwriting and the guitar. One day she will even try performing at open mic sessions. Susan went to Miles of Music Camp in Boston in March and the Summer Acoustic Music Week Camp (SAMW) on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee NH in July where she had the opportunity to perform one of her songs.

.

We wish all a Happy New Year and the very best for 2017.
