Almost four months since we moved from Austin to New York and two months since we moved to Brooklyn. Things have finally started to settle down (a little).

After the movers packed everything up, we left Austin on Feb. 26 and drove through Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York arriving in the city on March 1.

The next two months were spent in a studio apartment in the West Village. Our furniture and other stuff (lots of books) were temporarily housed in a storage unit in New Jersey.

It is an adventure living in a studio apartment after being used to considerably more space. The West Village is a wonderful place to live, New York at it's best.

On April 28 we moved once again to the top floor of a brownstone in Brooklyn's Park Slop area. We are one block from Prospect Park in a tree lined residential neighborhood. It has taken us almost two months to get everything arranged and settled in.

Not only have the last few months been busy on the home front but activity in our respective careers has also been in high gear.

After Rich started at Alight.com in the middle of February, the assets and some of the people, including Rich were bought out by Charming Shoppes, Inc. Alight had run out of money and Rich would have been on the job market again if Charming Shoppes had not come to the rescue. Charming Interactive is the new division created from the Alight asset purchase. Charming Interactive is charged with creating an effective Internet presence for all the Charming Shoppes retail divisions. Stay tuned, the new adventure has just begun.

Speaking of adventures, Susan has started a new career as manager of Partners & Crime. Daughter Andrea was astute enough to point out this opportunity to Susan. Years of museum operations experience prepared Susan well for this new direction.

To keep her hand in the historic museum field, Susan is also developing a consulting operation. Her many years in the field will now be available to all (for a price)!

Well that's all for now.
